The Geekbox: Episode 125

What? How the heck am I not on my own podcast this week!? Well, as it turns out, it’s pretty serious: My awesome dad underwent open-heart surgery today. He pulled through just fine (he’s an altogether healthy guy!), but all the same, I had to bow out this week so I could be with him for his surgery and first night of recovery. Thanks to all the well-wishers on Twitter — you have no idea how much my family and I appreciate it — and good vibes to Karen Chu, who is also out this week due to some doggie-related medical woes. Thanks to my loyal crew for soldiering on without me this week; I’ll be back next time, but for now, enjoy the first (and hopefully only) Ryan Scott-less episode of The Geekbox!

I love Geekbox and I appreciate the effort this week, but this got obnoxious quick without Ryan there to keep it from getting derailed. Also the fat people jokes were very inappropriate. I expect this from a podcast recorded in a frat house, not a comic book store.

Anyway, I wish Ryan’s dad a speedy recovery.

BOo hoo, this is not a Pride Podcast

  3. Lepton says:

Ugh, the insecure men taking potshots at one another cast. I loathe men.

    Adam Fitch, you are awesome.

Brock, go benchpress your body weight and die in a fire. You are not fit to be among reasonable and intelligent men.

This kind of podcast? Never again.

If Ryan isn’t there, just take the week off. Snapped it off about half way through.
