This happened to me once as a little kid: some random-ass, poorly trained labrador chased me down and tackled me because it thought it was playing. Except instead of a puddle and marshy-ground, it was hard-ass cement the dog tackled me onto. It didn't cause me to hate dogs, but from that day forwards I was keenly aware that 'damn, these fuckers can be dangerous.'

@Kenzo - She is not evil she is a great dog that barks at everything & everyone who is not family ... Then again she is house broken and only stays inside unless she runs out the door before we can stop her.

She is only loud with strangers and if she is to loud when friends come over we put a muzzle and let her get acquainted with them ... Oh and she is better then any cat I know

That's only because you don't care if your dog makes a bunch of noise. Whereas, the rest of the world hates you and your shitty dog for being too loud all up in your face. Unless you've got a Siamese cat, cats are never a noise-nuisance. If we were friends IRL, I'd never visit your house ever.

Ducks are among the rare species of fowl that stay cute as they reach maturity. Not sure how housebreakable they are though. If you ever take the plunge I expect a full report.

Spending a decent amount of time on farms growing up, visiting both friends and family, I feel qualified to answer your question:
If ducks are anything like chickens, they are the worst pets ever. Especially considering how domesticated certain breeds of chickens can be, they're probably worse than chickens. Birds have no regard for cleanliness. They will shit anywhere and everywhere. If you hold them too long, they're likely to shit on you. The smell of builtup bird feces is one of the worst smells on earth, possibly worse than cat urine. You have to keep them outside, and caged up unless you clip their flight-feathers. They're also noisy as fuck. It would be cool to live on a lake and feed the local ducks that float by, but that would be it.
