Apparently you didn't see Vampire Jesus, cause he answered every question I had, such as "Is Godric the most amazing Vampire Jesus ever?"

Spoiler: show
the answer is yes

Don't you meant the Vampire Jedi Knight?

Jedi Knights are just kinda transparent like ghosts. Godric shined like the fucking sun. He's definitely vampire-Jesus.

First 10 minutes of this episode were better than the entirety of the first 3 seasons.

That is all.

For now.

Dude, in the first five minutes Sookie and Lumberg were running away from demon fairies shooting magic missiles at them. How the fuck was that boring?

What's wrong with you, Mr_eX? How can you extol the merits of shitty 80s movies all the time, and not love True Blood? It's basically "Shitty 80s Movies the TV Show."

They aired the opening a week ago and everything after that was boring. It will probably get better next episode.

Dude, you're mad. Crazy witch lady, cagefighter Tara, Sam's Pony Adventures, Lafayette's B.A. Baracus haircut, Taxpayer and Small Business Owner Eric, His Royal Billness... This entire episode was chock full of a season's worth of promised amazement and you're off your rocker if you feel otherwise. I wore a giddy smile for the entire hour of this episode. If someone had their insides punched out by a vampire it would have been the best hour of television in all of history.

They had to reintroduce everyone and they didn't spend enough time on anything so it all just came off as setup. I'm sure I'll like the next one more.

If True Blood keeps up this pace of insanity, I don't know how my brain will take that.

How is that boring? Things have changed, and we're seeing how they've changed. That's as eventful and interesting as it gets. I'm actually kind of pessimistic about the next episode because I don't know how they can maintain this kind of inertia.

So, apparently episode 2 is already out!?!? It got released early on HBO's website and there's already webrips circulating the internets. It's like Christmas in June.

Episode description:
"Sookie adjusts to Bon Temps' new realities; Bill reveals pieces of his past; Eric crashes a witches' meeting; Jason gets his wounds licked; Andy struggles with his addiction; Sam learns of Luna's special talents; Jessica satisfies her blood cravings; and Arlene witnesses strange behavior from her family."

I have to say, Arlene and her stupid baby are easily the dumbest part of this new season. That baby better turn out to be the Anti-Christ.

Well, episode 2 doesn't quite give confirmation, but it's pretty close - that's a Demon-Baby. Episode 2 was pretty fuckin' great. Not nonstop insanity, but still pretty good. Plenty of tits, plenty of neck biting, and a big reveal:
Spoiler: show
Witches = necromancers, and since they can control the dead, they can control vampires, which is why the Spanish Inquisition happened I'm assuming.
Also, Bill and the old Queen of Louisiana fight, and it's totally lulz.

Ex-Wife is coming over tonight to watch the first two episodes of Season 4 with me, this and Californication were always 'our shows', and we continue the tradition. Really can't wait to see it! I've held off on purpose to watch it tonight. Even to the point where I'm not reading anything in this thread before posting this.

Oh man, this last episode was pretty epic. I was laughing uncontrollably when Jason was getting were-raped while essentially chained to his death-bed. Also, brain-washed Eric is the best character ever.

If every episode of True Blood is better than the episode that came before it then where the fuck is the ceiling for how good an episode of True Blood can be? I don't understand the logic of how this works, but it does.

Literally, everything... I can't even remember all the times I laughed. Highlights were "You drank the whole fairy!" Drunk Eric, Drunk Eric Swimming, "How come you're crying, I'm the one getting raped," Demon Baby's Exorcist moment, trangenerational incest courtesy of one Lord William of Compton, Melting Pam. The fun just never stops in this show.
