I was bracing myself for a bad ending, given how the season had gone. It was largely in line with my expectations. I don't think it was as bad as eX led on, simply because there was enough sillyness and schadenfreude to latch onto so that I wasn't slitting my wrists. But god damn, was there a lot of lovey-dovey, emotional shit going on. And I'm a little upset (but not surprised) that so many characters got emotional resolutions. I thought the epilogue was tasteful. There needed to be way more Erik and any amount of Lafayette in the finale - given that they're the show's best characters. Also, I dunno what you're talking about eX about that being the only good scene that elicited a laugh. I was laughing my ass off when Sookie finally killed Bill. That was hysterical, and brought the finale up from being an F to at least a D.

Well me and Davis finally finished it. That entire final season might have been harder to sit thru than the final season of Dexter.

I'm not a fan of the series, but in my observation there are usually two kinds of fans: the True Blood fans and the Sookie Stackhouse novels fans. Very few of the people I know who love the books also love the series.
