Between those two, I'd go with The Shield. 24 was a cool idea at the time, and I think the first season was really good (mainly because it was new), but after that, it was just the same shit over and over and over again.

Oh I know. Even though there's so many running gags, it's very easy to get into them and realize why they're funny.
I didn't realize the show creator was a writer on family guy while it was still decent (pre-cancellation). It's also interesting that even with how progressive and geeky it is, it's disney channel's most successful show ever
