kenzo wrote:HOLY SHIT that episode was totally banaynay! Thoroughly entertaining all the way through. Towards the end I got depressed when I thought I knew what was going to happen, but then how The Doctor resolves the entire debacle was something I didn't see coming at all (but probably should have). And then "The Question" at the end was a super bonkers way to close everything out.Spoiler: show
Now there's more questions swirling about than ever, and I'm super amped for X-Mas.Spoiler: show
We just know that The Silence is responsible in all likelihood, and that The Silence is out to kill The Doctor. Blowing up the TARDIS was probably to facilitate that plan, but maybe they didn't realize the full ramifications of blowing up the TARDIS like that. That's mostly conjecture (since we've never been directly told that The Silence is directly responsible, just that "silence will fall") but it's the best answer we've got at the moment.Govir wrote:I think we know that The Silence blew up the TARDIS (I vaguely remember this). Yeah, it totally played out like the writers were trying to write an acceptable and happy parting between Amy/Rory & The Doctor, but then hastily rewrote the last episode so that they could still keep 'em around next season if they wanted. Which is fine, but I kinda wanna see what kind of adventures happen next. The Doctor going back to working mysteriously in the shadows - I'm all about that, and I feel like continuing adventures with Amy is going to make that difficult.Mr_eX wrote:Pretty good but predictable episode. It seems like it should be the end of Amy and Rory with The Doctor but I think they're coming back next season.

I'm guessing it's just a small gag to say he spent part of his 200 years away trying to complete a Rubik's cube
