You've just ruined Amy Pond for me. Thanks. You're a dick.

Also, you should include some of the better Season 6 previews.

Also also, I like that you're calling it Season 6, not Series 6. Screw calling seasons series - that's nonsense.

Mission accomplished.

I was thinking of putting season in all caps in the thread title to stick it to the season 5 thread but decided not to..

It will be the best season of any sci-fi show of all time.

I'd enjoy that if it were true, but I highly doubt it will be.

Last season was great and Matt Smith was still figuring out his doctor, now he knows him and the writers know how to write for him. What could go wrong?

I was simply tempering my expectations so I wouldn't possibly be let down. But thanks for inadvertently invoking Murphy's Law. You are such a dick!

That picture is more terrifying than any alien Steven Moffat could ever think up!

Yeah, guy writes good comics. I've seen nothing to suggest that he can write good tv/movie scripts however. Getting excited for an episode he wrote would be like getting excited for a classical opera written and conducted by Weezer.

He wrote an episode of Babylon 5.

The solitary episode he wrote was from season 5, which is (by all accounts I've read) the worst season.

Also, Babylon 5 sucks. DS9 foreverrrrrr.

I love Neil Gaiman, so it pains me to agree here.

I love the X Files. And I love William Gibson and Stephen King. But the episodes they wrote for the show were absolutely terrible.

I'm hopeful, but it really could go either way.

So, this year's Wondercon (in a week from now) is supposed to have a Doctor Who panel with Neil Gaiman speaking. Interesting... I might have to attend for the first time.

Neverwhere was a kids TV show that he re-adapted into a book. It was fucking great.

The book Neverwhere was fucking great, the show was unwatchable. How about MirrorMask? Admittedly it's been 5 years, I was surely drunk at the time, and it was a craptastic hajii vision copy that I watched, but I don't remember that movie making a lick of sense. I thought Stardust transferred to film passably but someone else wrote the screenplay. Do we want to talk about Beowulf?

I hope it's fantastic, but I don't think it's a justifiable expectation.

I thought that Mirrormask played a lot better when I was missing a night of sleep.

Mirrormask's a concentrator; it reminds me a bit of Labyrinth. I loved it, anyhow. And I actually enjoyed the Neverwhere TV show, hobbled as it was by budget constraints etc...

Mirrormask was a great looking movie, and interesting on some level, but holy fuck was it boring. I don't remember what the run time is, but both of the times I watched it it seemed like it was five hours long. I felt the same way about Stardust, only at least that movie had a little bit of light hearted whimsy so make it more tolerable. I've been sitting on a copy of Coraline for at least a year and just haven't been able to bring myself to watch it.

Looks like they're going for an epic season of epic proportions. That has me slightly worried and slightly titillated.

I never finished the fifth season. The last episode I saw was the one about the alien vampires in Venice.
