I think the second was my favorite entry in the trilogy. The third had the cheese factor turned up way too high.

I don't like the 3rd all that much either.

Wow, I offhandedly said to the cohort I was watching that with at the end "Stay tuned for the sequel, Bride of Re-Animator!" and I'd never even known that existed.

I think maybe I should have picked this instead of Re-Animator

I know it's a bit late, but I watched Re-Animator tonight and here are my notes:

Spoiler: show
- I want to pinch the cheeks of that chubby German nurse so bad! :D
- Hey, hey! We're not even 10 minutes in and we've already had two boob shots? Granted, one was of an overweight deceased woman...but still, that must be some kind of a record.
- The cigar smoker in me wants to know what cheap ass cigar the morgue security guard is smoking.
- Oh man, there are so many people in this movie that I want to kick in the balls! Herbert West, Dr. Halsey, Dr. Hill...hell, even Dan is starting to piss me off.
- Headless Dr. Hill FTW!
- Holy shit! A Mr. Potato Head cameo?
- Full frontal? Uh oh...there goes the PG-13 rating!
- Good, Herbert deserves to die.
- Lobotomized cadaver orgy perhaps?
- Celebrity cameo #2: Thing from the Addams Family.
- And now we've gone full circle another dead woman on Dan's watch.
- Why the eff would you inject the girl you love with that serum after seeing the results on all the others? Man, I want to kick Dan in the balls even more now! :x

Conclusion: Re-Animator is a BAD 80's horror flick and, just like The Night Of The Creeps, it's horrible effects, bad acting, and so-so story line only serve to add to it's charm. Half the fun in watching these 'B' (or maybe even wanna'B') movies is being able to poke fun at how awful it is. Re-Animator provided me with lots of opportunities to do just that...and I have to say that I quite enjoyed myself. BRING ON IMMORTEL! 8-)
