The Geekbox: Episode 37

I apologize for the lateness this week — I had something a little more important to say yesterday, and I felt it not entirely appropriate to post the new podcast on the same night. Please enjoy this week’s episode — and if you would be so kind as to pop on over to this site and take Wizzard Media’s podcasting survey (something our hosts and advertisers would like us to do, as it helps them to understand how people listen to podcasts, which is definitely an important factor in keeping podcasts like this one going), it would be extremely helpful for us!

The Geekbox: Episode 36

Rebel FM co-founder and host Anthony Gallegos joins us for this week’s episode, in lieu of Andrew “Andrew Fitch” Fitch, who’s out sick (we’re guessing due to his five dates with five different women over the course of five days last week — seriously!). And more good news: Bill Mudron’s poster art from the Brodeo Reunion 2009 panel at this year’s Penny Arcade Expo is now available for purchase for a mere $5.00. This comes courtesy of PAX enforcer Ben Cuzza, who’s donating all profits to the Child’s Play Charity. So head on over and grab yourself one mighty fine poster… after you listen to this week’s episode and Digg it, that is!

We’re back in action with the regular crew this week (and a much more easily digestible running time!). Enjoy the show, and don’t forget to Digg. Seriously — if last week’s podcast had a Digg for every comment, that would have been fantastic!

The Geekbox: Episode 33

A couple quick site-related notes to go along with this week’s show: I’ve added some host bios for all of the regular and recurring cast members of the podcast (in case, you know, you want to make shrines to us in your basement), and I’m also working on a full-fledged Amazon store. It’s kind of disorganized right now, but I plan on packing it to the gills with awesome games, comics, and DVDs — hopefully it’ll be a handy one-stop shop for fun geek stuff once I’m done with it. Also, as you’ll hear in this week’s episode, Geekbox fan (and one-time guest star) Davin Loh is auctioning off the giant banner he created for the Brodeo Reunion at PAX. The proceeds will go to Penny Arcade’s Child’s Play charity, so hit that link to see pics of the banner (it’s autographed by all the GFW cast members, too!) and bid on it. And that’s it — enjoy this week’s unusually long show, and don’t forget to Digg. I want some of those big Digg numbers that we had back when we launched this thing, people! 🙂

And we’re back to our regularly scheduled podcast, after last week’s GFW reunion. This episode guest stars British game journalist Olly Quinn, who also filmed some brief behind-the-scenes video clips (which I just might post up here if I can figure out a good way to do so). This episode’s a bit more scattershot than usual, but I hope you enjoy it!
