Hey, we’re back, for real this time! It’s been a long couple of weeks, but we’ve got some Avengers and Diablo III to catch up on (and I’ve got a big, glowing Diablo III “Play” button sitting one window away right now…). Apologies once again for the sporadic and unintended absence; I’ll do everything I can to make sure it doesn’t happen again anytime soon!

The Geekbox Plague

Discuss this sorry excuse for a missed episode on our forums!

In a development that I promise I am freaking out about way more than you are, we’re skipping a record second episode of the Geekbox in a three-week period, after an unblemished, unbroken 160-episode streak that stretches back to February 2009. The truth is, we’re all violently ill this week — well, except for Karen, who’s wisely decided to overwork herself and avoid us, lest she also contract the black plague — and in absolutely no shape to podcast, let alone have any protracted conversations with other human beings. If it makes you feel any better, I just threw up today! And I can’t remember the last time I did that (well, I can now, but you get the point)! See you next week, if I’m not dead.

The Geekbox: Episode 167

Where’s the Geekbox!?

We don’t do this too often — but hey, it’s been 166 episodes, so we’re calling in sick today. Truth be told: I’m absolutely slammed with a lot of work right now, and this week, it just so happened to creep into the Geekbox’s recording schedule (fun fact: I’m already absolutely exhausted from E3 2012, which is still over a month away). So, totally my bad… but it would have been a low-energy episode anyway. Rather than bore you to death even more than usual, we’ll be back next week with some recharged batteries and lots of fun stuff to talk about. In the meantime, go check out our other three podcasts; you might even like them!

The Geekbox: Episode 166

Ray Barnholt joins us this week to talk about weird Japanese dating sims, and our roadie Brock Sager sits in for an absent Ryan Higgins. Make sure to check out Ray’s awesome indie video game magazine, Scroll — you won’t find anything else like it!
