The Comedy Button: The Lost Boys Commentary

It’s Halloween, which means your local TV stations are probably playing lots of terrible “scary” movies in observance of our favorite non-holiday. While all the boring people are out mooching candy and checking apples for razor blades, why not settle down with everyone’s favorite ’80s movie that they didn’t quite realize was quite so bad at the time, The Lost Boys. Go grab your DVD, Blu-ray, or streaming versions from our Amazon store if you haven’t already!

The Comedy Button — The Lost Boys Commentary (2012-10-26)
Yes, before director Joel Schumacher ruined childhoods with Batman & Robin, he put Jack Bauer and Bill S. Preston in The Lost Boys — a weird, slightly uncomfortable tale about creepy teenage vampires. So come along and join Comedy Button hosts Scott Bromley, Brian Altano, Anthony Gallegos, Ryan Scott, and Max Scoville on a journey into the land of the awkward dead. This commentary is available in both NTSC and PAL formats, so make sure you grab the right one!

  1. Scott Bromley says:

Time to quit your bitching and move to a better country, swan.

  2. swan says:

scott, that’s all very well for you to say, but there are no movie steaming services available in my country (if net flix was actually a thing here id be all over that, it sounds like an amazing service) , and its hard enough to find dvd’s of movies from last year in the stores here yet alone whenever this came out, of course i could buy it online but id be paying three times the cost of the DVD for postage and it wouldn’t work on my dvd player anyway.

  3. MendicantMonkey says:

Should I use the NTSC version for the streaming version? The run-time for the streaming version is 1:38.

how’s altano doin? i guess hes heard by now that new jersey and new york are going to be destroyed by a hurricane. are his parents gonna make it out ok? im being serious is altano ok?

  5. AnotherLostBoy says:

I thought the movie was an odd choice. Sure it’s weird and very 80s but not bad enough to really rip it apart imho.

  6. nick says:

i know you guys get this a lot but damn it i want an answer. what happend to those weekly sketchs? people paid you guys for those?! i love the podcast don’t think im just being an ass but don’t you think you owe those sketchs to people

Also you could probably rent the DVD from a video rental store for even less than that. I rented it for $0.50 from a rental store right down the street from where I live.

But better to buy the movie through the Amazon store. Bromley needs a new gate for his Vineyard.

  8. Scott says:

Jeff, that’s why we did a separate PAL version of the commentary track, so you wouldn’t have that problem. Try downloading that one. And as for you swan, be an adult ad buy the fucking movie. If you can’t be bothered to give someone $1.99 to stream a movie you really need to reevaluate some of your finances.

  9. Jeff says:

I had this same issue with the Street Fighter commentary.

You guys are watching the movie. I’m watching the movie.

But your movie is not moving as fast as my movie. I continuously have to pause the movie and let you guys catch up.

  10. swan says:

there are no good torrents for this movie, fastest one is getting around 200kb/s
