I didn’t have the slightest problem with the first dungeon in GW2. I was in a group of full pug and only 1 of the 5 of us had ever run it before, got through it with relative ease in under an hour.

It just takes coordination, focus fire down enemies and look for tells of when the enemy is about to attack so you can get out of the way.

If your just hammering out your skills in GW2 trying to do some sort of skill rotation like in WoW and not paying attention to what enemies are actually doing, the dungeon will not go well for you. I think Ascalonian Catacombs serves it’s purposely wonderfully by slapping you in the face and reminding you that you have to pay attention to whats going on and react, because once you do, it’s a cake walk.

The dungeons in GW2 are hard at first, especially Sorrows Embrace being nearly impossible at one point but the 80 dungeons are fairly easy with a well balanced team. It is weird being a level 80 and getting destroyed in a low level dungeon because of the level scaling though.
