you idiots who fashion yourselves as “enlightened” gamers are hilarious. gamers are the butthole of the internet and the world at large, spike awards elevate them beyond merit, and that’s saying something.

You guys were way too much of apologists for the VGA’s. I really enjoy games, though I don’t identify myself as a “gamer” so I’m not one of those blind fools that can’t understand why Spike TV does what it does. And I’m not as sensitive when it comes to how much of a train wreck the VGA’s are with their awful jokes, skits, and writing (as most awards shows are). But the one thing that’s horribly fucked up and what you guys seem to not mind much is the fact that only 3 to 4 people got up to speak for winning an award. These people work extremely hard on these projects and the least that’s owed to them is to be able to say a few words at an awards show dedicated to games. And that goes for any medium of entertainment. I feel Alex Navarro put it best with his article on GiantBomb. All I’m saying is that you guys should expect more at least when it comes to the developers accepting the awards they win. Until then maybe suggest to Keighley about removing the “Award” part from the show. Anyways I usually really enjoy the show. Peace.

Ps. Weird Al SUCKS!!!!!!!!!! I can’t understand if you like him for music sake (which would mean you like bad covers) or for comedy (which doesn’t make sense either)?

I just watched one of the worst movies I have ever seen and it featured the vioce of Samuel L. Jackson as Rumbo the squirel. The movie was Fluke ( and it was about a man who is reincarnated as a dog, finds the family he left behind and later discovers the reason for his death in the first place. At best this movie is of a Lifetime special caliber. Samuel’s role was pretty minor even though he is the top billed cast. So even though Mr. Jackson has managed to work on some of the most successfull movies of all time, he also has some of the worst under his belt as well.

Your coverage of the VGAs seems incredibly dismissive for a group of people consisting primarily of people who didn’t watch any of the trailers… I would appreciate it if next time you guys cover any event similar to the VGAs, you would properly verse yourselves with its content before you lay in to the trailers or the event for being uninteresting or mediocre.
