    Assume Howard Stark was 28 in WW2. A 40 year old Tony Stark would have been born in 1971. That would put Howard in his late 50s when Tony was born. If you’re a middle class guy then having a kid in your late 50s is probably a poor decision. If you’re a rich guy then it’s doable. I presume that Howard didn’t have to change the diapers.
